Flexport has laid off around 2% of its workforce due to redundancies following the integration of its forwarding and fulfillment teams. This marks at least the fourth round of layoffs since December 2022, as the company seeks to reduce costs and enhance profitability. The reorganization follows Flexport’s acquisition of Shopify’s logistics arm, which has enabled it to offer new services to small and medium-sized businesses. However, the company is now prioritizing larger customers to scale profitably while continuing to strengthen its e-commerce partnerships.
