Embraer’s E190F, a passenger-to-freighter conversion known as the E-Freighter, has received full certification from the FAA. The cargo loading system, developed by U.S. Cargo Systems, was certified in September 2024, following earlier certifications from Brazil’s ANAC and pending approval from EASA later this year. Launched in May 2022, the E190F program aims to address the rising demand for rapid deliveries in e-commerce. The converted E-Jets offer over 40% more volume capacity, a significantly increased range, and lower operating costs compared to larger cargo options.
