Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW), a collaboration between ST Engineering and Airbus, has delivered an Airbus A330F to Amazon Air, operated by Hawaiian Airlines, now under Alaska Air’s ownership. This marks the eighth A330-300F in Amazon’s fleet. The aircraft, previously used by Etihad Airways, was converted from passenger to freighter at EFW’s Shanghai facility before delivery. Additionally, two more A330-300Fs are being converted in Germany. Following Alaska’s acquisition of Hawaiian Airlines for $1.9 billion, Amazon has also been granted warrants for up to 15% of Hawaiian’s shares.
