Cargo First, the cargo division of Bournemouth Airport, has inaugurated new handling facilities on October 14, 2025, enhancing the airport’s infrastructure with three ICAO Code E aircraft stands, a larger Customs-bonded cargo center, and improved access for trucks. This development, part of an investment program by Regional & City Airports, aims to double the airport’s cargo capacity and bolster its position as a viable alternative to London hubs. With a substantial increase in freight handled, Bournemouth is emerging as a significant player in the UK airfreight sector, driven by e-commerce and high-value exports.
