Turkish Cargo, the air cargo division of Turkish Airlines, has added its ninth Boeing 777 Freighter to its fleet and plans to acquire three more by mid-2026, aiming to strengthen its capacity for long-haul routes to the Americas and Far East. Chief Cargo Officer Ali Türk announced that this expansion will increase their fleet to 12 aircraft, enhancing annual capacity by about 220,000 tonnes. The growth aligns with Turkish Airlines’ 2033 Vision and SMARTIST 2.0 investment plan, aiming to boost their freighter count and solidify Istanbul as a key global air transport hub.
