Glasgow Prestwick Airport has teamed up with Beijing Capital Airlines to introduce a four-times-weekly freighter service to Zhengzhou, enhancing e-commerce and export potential for Scottish and UK products. The inaugural flight, using an Airbus A330-243 (P2F), landed at Prestwick on October 16. This service will transport general cargo and premium items like Scottish salmon and whisky to China. With this partnership, Prestwick solidifies its status as a key UK cargo hub, supporting its long-term strategy to connect UK exporters with major international markets.
