The Airforwarders Association (AfA) has expressed concern over the U.S. government’s decision to withdraw 13 flight routes operated by Mexican airlines, which they believe will significantly diminish air cargo capacity and disrupt supply chains between the U.S. and Mexico. U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy’s announcement will limit passenger flights and reduce essential cargo space. AfA’s Executive Director, Brandon Fried, emphasized the need for policy solutions that maintain freight connectivity, urging both governments to prioritize fair competition and air cargo access.
