FedEx has started receiving blended sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at Chicago O’Hare and Miami International airports, following its earlier deployment at Los Angeles International. With a total of one million gallons of SAF at O’Hare and three million gallons at Miami, FedEx aims to enhance its sustainability efforts in aviation. The company plans to source 30% of its fuel from alternative sources by 2030, while also focusing on reducing overall fuel consumption. FedEx successfully avoided 140 million gallons of jet fuel in FY 2024, achieving its emissions intensity reduction targets.
