As of September 2, the national average price for a gallon of diesel gasoline decreased by 2.6 cents to $3.625, continuing a trend of eight consecutive weekly declines totaling 24.0 cents. This follows previous reductions of 3.7, 1.6, 5.1, and other smaller decreases since mid-July. Year-over-year, the average has dropped by 86.7 cents, surpassing earlier weekly declines. Currently, WTI crude oil is priced at $70.27 on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
