Swiss International Air Lines has appointed Alain Chisari as the new Head of Swiss WorldCargo, taking over from Lorenzo Stoll, who left to pursue a new role in the healthcare sector. Chisari, aged 52, has been with Swiss since 2008 and has extensive experience in the airline industry, including previous roles at Edelweiss and within the Lufthansa Group. He is responsible for managing a global team of around 300 employees and developing the airfreight division’s business strategy, with support from Chief Commercial Officer Heike Birlenbach, who praised his experience and industry connections.
