Carousel Logistics has opened a new airside facility at Birmingham Airport to enhance cargo handling, tripling its previous capacity and potentially reducing road transport by 50,000 miles annually. This strategic location near major motorways and rail links will improve transport times and lower carbon emissions. The facility allows direct sorting and shipping of goods from the airport, eliminating the need for transport to Coventry. Additionally, Carousel has invested in low-emission equipment, including electric forklifts and vans, as part of its sustainability strategy.
