This initiative, based on the IATA ONE Record data protocol, incorporates customs authorities into the communication process, providing customers with live updates on clearance status from various regions, including Europe and the U.S. Previously reliant on manual updates, this system allows customers to proactively manage delays. The updates will eventually be integrated into the Cathay Cargo website by 2026, underscoring the airline’s commitment to digitalizing air cargo processes.
