Exolum, an energy logistics company, plans to invest £4.5 million to establish the UK’s first independent Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) blending facility at Redcliffe Bay, aiming to enhance access to SAF for jet fuel used in 40% of UK flights. This facility will support a network of SAF blending hubs, creating a “SAF Superhighway” within Exolum’s 2,000km pipeline. Expected to be operational by 2026, it will facilitate greener aviation and support the UK’s sustainable fuels industry, coinciding with ongoing legislative efforts to promote SAF production and investment.
