Maersk has launched a 1.2-million-square-foot fulfillment center in Groveport, Ohio, to support Levi Strauss & Co.’s distribution transformation aimed at enhancing its omnichannel capabilities. The facility, which began operations in August, will serve various channels and is designed to improve order fulfillment efficiency and on-time performance, allowing Levi’s to focus on direct-to-consumer sales. It features advanced sorting technology and a warehouse management system for real-time inventory visibility. This center is Maersk’s tenth global facility for Levi’s, reflecting the retailer’s shift towards third-party logistics to reduce costs.
