Hutchison Ports Port of Felixstowe has received the first two of 34 Autonomous Trucks (ATs) ordered from Shanghai Westwell Technology Co. Ltd, adding to the existing fleet at the Trinity Terminal. Clemence Cheng, Executive Director, highlighted advancements in LiDAR technology that will enhance operational performance and efficiency. Westwell’s Kenny Tan expressed pride in their collaboration, noting the trucks’ role in sustainable port development. The fully electric ATs, equipped with advanced safety features, support the port’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2035, with quick battery swaps minimizing downtime.
